The minimum wage in Sea-Tac is $15.00 and hour and apparently some places want you to work for it... ![[Linked Image]](https://sundance-communications.com/forum/gallery/58/full/697.jpg)

I have mixed feelings about that. If you hire Millennials you have to get used to those problems. On the other hand, if you pay a decent wage you will attract a better class of workers.

Help me understand this. If the job paid $7.25 an hour before and now by law it is $15 an hour. I make $25 an hour now how much should I make $50 an hour or $32.75 an hour?

No. It's just the minimum you are required to pay a worker. That doesn't mean that if the minimum wage goes up by 50% everybody gets a 50% raise regardless of what hey are making. But pancake price has to go up..... Well yeah or the restaurant has to do more business. The problem with the restaurant business in this country is there are too many, customers don't pay enough and tips only going to the servers. I say make the minimum wage $15 and let the restaurants who can't afford it go out of business. More for the rest, survival of the fittest. In my little area alone there has to be 20 restaurants. If you knew what the chef and kitchen staff make in a typical restaurant you would cry. They are right up there with starving artists and musicians- you can't even say they barely make a living because most don't make a living. -Hal

There was just a news story that said Target had raised their starting wage by $1 per hours, and found that they attracted higher quality candidates. But let's be honest, if you're an adult trying to raise a family on a minimum wage job, you've messed up somewhere in life.
