Hello, my name is Amy. I am in need of help to program my Vodavi Starplus STS, stations to hear the co lines ringing. I thought I had all the correct steps, and it appears to get step 3 and then nothing. Would someone be able to tell me if I am missing a step? These are the steps I'm taking to try to get all phones to ring:

1) enter Password

2) Flash 40

3)enter co lines that are to ring (example- 001-003) * This is where it stops, the display reads "enter co lines"
but when I enter "001 003, nothing happens)

4) Flex10

5)enter the extension number I want to ring: (example- 100)

6)enter corresponding ring options: 7 (for all times of day)

7) Flex 13 (to save)

I have 3 stations that are not able to hear incoming calls. Are these the correct instructions?
Thank you in advance for any help I can get. I just happened upon this site, I have been struggling and searching for help for nearly 7 months now. : (

Amy

Been years so I will go from memory...

Line 1 would be 001 (twice), HOLD [Confirmation tone is heard]
Line 1 through 3 would be 0-0-1, 0-0-4, HOLD [Confirmation tone is heard]

If the HOLD key is pressed without selecting a CO line, that makes all lines ring. [Confirmation tone is heard]

Pressing the HOLD key saves the programming into memory.

Also, you either have to have line appearances or loop keys for CO lines to ring.

Hi, Amy. I apologize for the late response to your question. What you're doing is almost correct, but as mentioned above, you must press the hold button after entering your CO line range. Also, pressing FLEX 13 to save is incorrect. As also mentioned above, you must press Hold to save the entry.

Unfortunately, it's against the policy of this forum to discuss this level of programming in a public forum. We're limited to end-user information that is found in the user's guide. We can tell you what to do, but not how to do it due to potential liability issues. Since you almost have the proper information, I guess it's OK to guide you.

There is a semi-work around, which is a user-level solution to program call coverage buttons on the other phones that will track the ringing of ext. 100. Here's the procedure for this:

1. (At each covering station): Press the speed button twice;
2. Press an available flex button to use;
3. Dial 646 + 100 and receive a confirmation tone.

Incoming calls that ring at ext. 100 will also ring at the stations with this feature programmed. Keep in mind that there is a default delay of five seconds for call coverage ringing to start working. This may have been modified by the original installer, but that's not likely.
