Greetings,
I'm trying to upgrade an OAS card from 2.04 to 2.10. I am following the steps using a windows 10 laptop and I have tried both solar winds and tptpfd 32. I unzip the files to a folder C:/OAS1 I've checked to make sure the files are in the folder. I make sure all the IP addresses are correct telnet to the card do allset then reboot. I can communicate to the card but I never see the files load and when I check the firmware hasn't changed. Any thoughts or suggestions? Different procedure?
TIA

This usually men's the switch is taking too long to allow traffic through (this is referred to as port fast on cisco switches, and hp from memory.)

You need to point the tftp server root directory at c:\ NOT C:\OAS1

have you tried connecting directly to the oas card?

Have you disabled your firewall?

If you still don't get a connection then you may need to kill a process. I almost always have to go through the following:

Launch a command prompt as administrator, then type:
>netstat –a –o –n | findstr 0.0:69
>netstat –a –o –n | findstr xx:69 (xx means the last ip address of your PC/TFTP server. In this example, it is 11 because the server ip address is 10.0.2.11)

This will output some information. You want to note the 4 digit number on the right, this is your PID

>taskkill /F /PID yy (yy is the PID of your PC from the above step)

Then you should be good to go.

Cheers,
