In the early 2000's Hal predicted that know it all IT Weenies would try to take over the telecom world . His prediction has come true and telecom is ruined forever . Does anyone agree with this opinion ?

Long gone are the days when you could trust PSTN that tried to achieve reliability of 99.999% as a standard. A STANDARD...not some Executive Boardroom P.R. pipe dream!
POTS line worked, whether loop-start or ground-start.

You can't trust that all data communications equipment (devices) will behave the same and Microsoft has LONG ago proved that software is only as good as it's programmed to be: GIGO!
Perhaps, we should follow the 'New Standards and Practices' and blame Hal for all the issues in the Telecommunications Industry

LOL, you used to be able to tell if someone was calling from a landline or cell phone by the sound quality. Now they are the same quality and cell phones haven't improved!

Now make a note of what I say about the cloud. One stop shopping by the government for everything they needed a subpoena or court order for when we had our data stored on our own systems. All your data is also available to "data miners" who use your information to build a profile on you. If you think storing your data in the cloud or using one of the growing list of apps that reside in the cloud is harmless or a good idea YOU ARE AN IDIOT!
