Happy Mother's Day indeed!

Happy Mother's Day! It takes a special woman to allow their son to fill the basement with phone equipment :P

Is mothers day still one of the busiest days for telephone traffic? Or has text, email, Skype etc reduced the traffic?

At the time my position at Level (3) (now a part of CenturyLink) was eliminated, Mother's Day was saw a fair amount of traffic. In the five years since, I suspect that usage has dropped somewhat due to alternate forms of communication. Still, if mom still uses a landline as her primary source of communication, calls that originate on Skype and various other forms of VoIP services will, still, need to find their way onto the telephone network.
