Hi folks, I'm primarily a Samsung and Toshiba Tech but get the occasional Nortel thrown into the mix.

We have a cics with call pilot. Works great most of the time but occasionally, instead of the phones ringing for 6 then going to the AA, an incoming call gets directed to a voicemail box (seemingly at random) instead.

What are the timers and settings I should be looking at to find this conflict?

Thanks in advance!

I would check the "Forward ON Busy" prompt in programming.
If someone has lines ringing on their phone and has this set up then as they "Randomly" use their phone, that makes them busy. Then when a call comes in and their phone is set to ring the system says - Ah HA they are busy, go to voice mail. I NEVER set this prompt unless they have NO lines ringing on their phone (other then their private DID number) and only if they want that. Instead if they don't like to be bothered when on the phone, set the prompt "DND on busy". Then when they are on the phone, the phone will flash but not ring. Then go to there VM if they don't answer. Now if someone had their FWD NO ANS set lower than the AA, then it would go to that mb all the time not radomly.

Find out who's personal greeting is being played and that person probably forwarded their ringing phone directly to voice mail.

I'm with both
On ringing sets your places of conflicts...

-Call Forward No Answer <---call would go to mailbox based on it's timer
-Forward Busy <---call would go to mailbox right away
-Forward to Voice Mail <---call would go to mailbox right away

And if it's random it could be a line in the later half of the hunt group.

"directed to a voicemail box (seemingly at random)"
I took that as a random mailbox

Hunt Groups ignore the Forward No Answer/Busy settings
When a Hunt Group is overflowed to voice mail it will only go to the HG's mailbox or the General Delivery.

For those who also cant stand the new tiny forum.

From what I understand it has something to do with the switch over from HTTP to HTTPS and Google screwing up the page and deleting a lot of the page setup due to...just a moment I double check...hold on.

"I was fixing http to https and google f****ed me today. While I was on the General setup google gave a me an error code saying that this code was harmful and then it proceeded to delete all the code for the header and footer."

So, it did turn out to be a call forward busy that had been set on some of the stations set to appear and ring. Removed those entries and it worked a treat.

Cheers,
