How to debug a phone,

1-Take phone apart carefully in a secure area,


2-Inspect to see if your phone is bugged?


3-Once you locate the bugs, get shop vac out and proceed with caution.

This takes me back to the late 80's, I was at the office 1st thing in the morning, went into the kitchen for coffee, I pickup the jar of powered creamer, the flip up top was already open, tilted to pour some into my cup and roaches started crawling out.
It was years before I would use powered creamer again.

Back in my Navy days guys would bring radios and boomboxes to the shop if they stopped working. Nearly every one of them was packed solid with critters just like those. Seems roaches are fond of sea cruises as well.

I'm always leery of getting another cable box. Rarely are they new and are what's been returned by other customers. Usually they are just tested for operation, cleaned up cosmetically and supplied with a new line cord and remote. Knowing how some people live, I worry what might be lurking inside. Roaches, bed bugs...
