Our home landlines have been pretty busy today.

By my count, we have received eight spam calls. Two calls are scams involving SSNs, while another provides a new twist on the old bogus Microsoft Support cold calls.

The night is still young, and, I suspect that another call or two will ring in at some point.

Kinda' makes you want to reach through the phone and strangle assholes doesn't it?

I get 2-3 calls a day on my cell phone from spoofed CIDs with first 5-6 digits matching my number to make it look like local call.... I know it’s spammers but still answer every time.

Microsoft support actually hung up on me the other day. I told the guy he sounded cute and inquired about his "oral" skills.

I get a lot of calls on my cell from the same Area code and CO code (NPX-NNX) as my cell. I've learned to ignore them, they're all spoofed spam. I assume that if they're a real call the'll leave me voicemail. If they don't, i block them.

Been getting those on my cell warning that my Windows subscription has expired. So I press 1 to speak to a representative.

After being greeted I stated "Spaghetti" .
Response, "Pardon me?"
Repeat "Spaghetti".

I don't think they took me serious.

There is a word in the Albania language (I'm 50% Albanian) that my mom taught me. I don't know how the word is spelled, but the word is pronounced "Moot".

A polite translation?....poop.

Try that the next time get one of those calls and see what they say/do.

Download the Hiya app for your cell phones. Group block your NPA-NXX numbers and allow exceptions for those you know to eliminate neighborhood spoofing. Picks up most spam and scams. Works great. For your landlines I'd keep a can of compressed air boat horn for those who are concerned about our car warranties, IRS accounts, Microsoft licenses, and credit improvement. Just honk your approval. LMAO.
