Hello,

We have account codes setup for tracking long-distance calls by user.

Is there a way I can forward an extension/phantom to an outside, long-distance number without having the caller need to enter an account code? iow, is there a way to program the account code into the forwarding programming?

Thanks in advance.

You cannot forward offsite when account codes are used. Sorry.

Incorrect - you can enter the LD code in the forwarded number string.

Example: FWD or 355 + 8 + 15032221212 + hit the infinity/program key four(?) times + the LD code.

You may need to add more pauses, which is simple. We have lots of accounts that forward LD with codes.

If it is just one or two phones that do this you can set up phantoms to route the same way then the person just forwards to the phantom or DND/path, etc.

PastorBob, I suggest that you post this in the "Request an Installer".

Hi PastorBob!

Welcome to the forum.

I understand you've hooked up a previous system, but please let me warn you that Inter-Tel systems are a different breed. Even the manuals take a learning curve to be able to find what you're looking for.

The Inter-Tel Axxess is a great system, but we often get requests from seasoned installers who although are very competent in phone work and different systems are lost on these.

Joshua, Are these account codes through the telephone company or through the phone system? If their programmed in the phone system and their forced codes then Andrea is correct and you cannot do an offsite forward but if their through the telephone company then yes you can set the code in the dial string as the cow suggested.

No, the account codes set at the provider level; I guessed there was a way to include the acct code in the forward, I just wasn't sure how to do it. Thanks very much for all who replied!

In online monitor of the phantom you are forwarding, go to forward info, you need the trunk group or PP040 in the forward destination field if you are using ARS put in the PP040 (PP has to be caps) After entering the number under outside number put PP and the project codes (PP also has to be in caps or it will not work), Forward type to 1 and forward to public network to yes. Forward extension, name and Disc can all be blank and work. Now you can forward a phone to the phantom or build it in a CRA, We do it both ways. When they need to change the on call person weekly we set the CRA to go to a phone and forward the phone to the phantom of the on call person. In other places we put the phantom in the CRA and all calls follow the forward
Hope this helps

An easier way to forward a phantom is with the "remote programming" code. 359. I use online monitor if i'm already in the system programming and but otherwise its easier to just use 359 and then setup the forward.
