Customer has a MICS 5.0 and had a fiber NAM 7.0 that had a bad hard drive. They provided another NAM 4.0 for me to install. I installed it yesterday, and programmed it. Just about everything works fine, however, when callers select and extension through the auto attendant, if the call is unanswered and forwards back to the NAM extension after four rings, rather than going to the extension mailbox, they go back to the AA canned greeting.
Now it's been a number of years, and apparently I have forgotten more than I remember. However, it seems to me that I ran into this problem before, and it was a software version conflict. Can anyone help me and remind me if I am correct about this? There's really not much to the programming, and I don't think I am missing something there.

4.0 works on 5.0 KSU but not higher.
You need to load the "NAM Redirect Patch" on the NAM.

You know, now that you say it I have vague recollections of a 3.5 floppy with a patch on it. And I think I may have connected to the serial port. Thank you for that information.

Besides loading the disk the only other way is via Norstar Voice Mail Manager (NVM) via the network card....but I think only 4.1 could you do that.
