I want to extend an existing patch panel into a cabinet. What I'm looking for is a 48 port panel terminated, the other end terminated with a Rj45 mod ends. Anyone heard of such a thing? Google has let me down.

There really isn't a market for what you are wanting to accomplish. There are 25-pr terminated but those are for extending RJ-21X-type of connections.
You don't mention if you are attempting to extend Cat 3, Cat 5, Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6a or Cat 7 or if you are expecting to pass certification or just wire-map or if you have "Special Circuits" that are now or in the future that also need to be extended.
There are many options with the easiest being to grab a box of the appropriate cable and install the appropriate 8P8C modular clip on one end and simple 568A/B termination of the new location.
You could also use a 25-pr CatX for every three ports, but that's will save you neither time nor money unless you gave it in stock.

Sounds like a nice project for a rainy or snowy day.

Yes, there are Catagory rated pre-terminated copper truck cables available. Take a look here for what you are needing. Pre-Terminated Trunk Cables - FS.COMThey'll even custom make what you need.

They sure are proud of those things! Dean's 3-C's would be a whole lot cheaper.

Just need the 3-C's: Yes, he is looking for a patch panel to a modular plug which is not a problem. Keystone jacks on one end and modular plugs on the other with a 48-Port blank patch panel. You just have to input the information required in the custom assembly quote form.

I have wondered more than once why 3m couldn't make money selling 710 or MS2 modules prewired into keystone jacks or patch panels. It would be darn quick to bundle drops into groups of 6, and then run them into the ms2 module. I guess it's a space saving thing. You'd need a lot of space to store all the completed modules.
