Hi Folks,

I have a 4 year old 7100 running 4.99 (recent upgrade). They have digital phones on the main site and a couple remote sites with IP phones. 4 analogue trunks and two non-geopgraphic sip trunks.

One of the remote sites has been working great for years. We are just testing the new site which is a chunk farther away and the sip trunks. There s a bit of a weird thing going with the IP communications. Initially, it seemed to just be with the sip trunk with poor incoming audio (caller could hear fine but behind the Damsung, the quality was poor.

This morning when they came in, communication to any of the ip phones was really bad and also, the voicemail audio was really bad as well. We did a system reset and suddenly everything was bad.

So, it feels like it deteriorated over a bit.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance!

Sounds like possibly a corrupt db load. Do you happen to have a back up of the db where you can default and see if the issue goes away? I've had this happen once or twice and it's always been a result of a corrupt db.

I think I mistyped. After the reset everything cleared up. Seems to have survived the weekend now.

So, Upgraded to 5.0.1 and rebuild the database from scratch by hand. Still after a week, the audio to and from the IP phones as well as the voicemail goes to crap.

Reset, and it's good for another week.

Thoughts?

Do you have a oas/mgi card or just using the onboard?
Does the poor speech happen to the digital phones on the sip trunks?

What about when the remote ip phones call each other in the same location?

What about when the remote ip phones call each other in the same location? - Each remote site has only one phone.

When you upgraded to 5.01 software, did you also manually default the voicemail through DM?
