Hello All
[To answer the obvious question: Yes, I did. I switched the phone from 3000 mode to 2000 mode successfully.]
We are installing a 2404 cordless phone on Ext. 100 [Receptionist] without any success. The customer has a Toshiba CIX 670 system. I installed the Base Station Unit between the system and the DKT3020 as directed. I powered up the cordless on the charging station for 24+ hours. However...
The cordless only says: DKT MODE. If I press TALK or FB1 or FB2, the phone will read "ACQUIRING LINK" for a second or two; then it reads as "DKT MODE". It never gives the Volume Bars nor do I ever receive dial tone.
I have tried removing the DKT3020 out of the equation, with only the Base Station Unit plugged into the wall. And, it still will only read "DKT MODE", and no dial tone. I have moved the phone to another extension [Ext. 172], and it works successfully. {I also have tried the phone on another system in our office, and it works successfully.} Ext 100 is on port 010101; whereas Ext 172 is on port 010503. I have compared the Basic and DKT settings, as well as Class of Service. No alterations that I make to Ext 100 to emulate Ext 172 has proved to work. Off Hook Preference is set to "RINGING & IDLE"; I've tried NO PREFERENCE and RINGING. I have checked the physical wiring path; even going as far as connecting the Base Station Unit directly to the 66-block coming right off the BDKU = NO SUCCESS. Other than black magic, what could be cursing this cordless set?

on my 2004, when it says DKT MODE it's because the button on the base station has been pressed to make the pass-thru dkt station work...

Hello, I have a problem with my 2404-DECT. It is installed as a standalone phone with it's own extension. The system that we use is Toshiba CIX 40. It was working perfectly before. Now it accepts incoming calls, however when I try to make a call it just says "DKT mode". I was not able to find a solution. The troubleshooting manual says the 204-13 off-hook preferences might not be set correctly. But no word on how to set it.

The troubleshooting manual says the 204-13 off-hook preferences might not be set correctly. But no word on how to set it. Program 204 feature key 13 which is "Off Hook Preference" which in default is set to Ringing and Idle this programming change needs to be done using the Toshiba Network eManager software which can only be done by a trained installer.
Regards Carl

Short term solution, reset power to the base.
