Hello.

The entire system is down. Individual phone only show the firmware version and a repeat clicking sound ever few seconds.

The IDCS 100 main system does have the flashing lights on the

I had this problem before a few years ago and it turned out to be the power supply which I replaced and fixed the problem. However now its different.

See past post here

The difference this time is the MCP1 are flashing.

Tested the power supply with the multimeter and it shows the -55 and +5 as indicated on the motherboard as it should be. Power supply lights are also on.

I also had a space IDCS100 from when I originally replaced the power supply back in 2006 I think and I replaced the entire motherboard but same problem.

Do you think my MCP1 processor is dead or maybe it has lost the firmware and need to be flashed back on the system?

Open to any help, suggestions, troubleshooting, etc...

Thanks.

The idcs100 r2 takes 3mins to boot from power on.

There is a 3 pin sio connector you can connect to on the mcp1 to watch the startup.

What exactly is the 5v reading? Anything less than 4.8 and it won't boot.

If you look at the 2 capacitors on the top right hand side of the psu sip they look domed or have any brown stains on them?

If it won't boot up after 3-4 minutes ,it is possible the MCP may have to be reloaded through the SIO. I have had that happen before when powering a system back up it seemed to corrupt the MCP

What lights are on the MCP?

1. The readings are 5V exactly
2. The MCP is flashing/blinking lights
3. the SCP is Solid Green.
4. The capacitors look somewhat normal. There is brown but it seem to be a adhesive or something.
5. Can you send me the steps reload the MCP?

Thanks.

If it's reading 5v then they are good.
I've sent you a pm with a link to the instructions
