I have a large ECS ver 12 (185 IP phones/ 80 SIP phones / Esnatech VM/ PRI trunks) that is experiencing an intermittent problem with all the SIP extensions not working/ not registering.
Problem occurs randomly several times a week but has gone as long as 2 weeks with no problem.
The Iwatsu IP phones are not affected, Only resolution is to shut down the system and power it back on, soft reset has no effect.
Nothing in error logs, Iwatsu tech support states problem is with non supported SIP phones.
I had the same exact problem with a different customer several years ago with no resolution (replaced system).
Just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this problem.

We had the exact same issue with a client of ours. We were using mobile apps as our sip clients, and they would just stop working, along with the ESNA. Tech support stated that the phones were not supported, and that they were registering too often and overloading the sip stack, which then you have to shut the system down to restart it. We backed the registration down severely and it still happened. We never got a resolution either, and ended up having to put digital handsets everywhere. Seems like the Iwatsu system does not like playing well with anything sip besides polycom soundstations (limited) and ESNA voicemails in my opinion.
