Not advisable, but it can be done. It limits you growth.

When we get this request my solution and it has never failed, if the old extensions start at 10, the new ones will start at 110.
We get old too soon, smart too late

We've always done just as dans has. We've moved lots of Partner or DM-16 clients to 3 digits this way for years.

I know ....but this customer is so ( i’m not sure what word to put in here )
They only have 8 phones
So I was able to do it and it seems like it’s working OK
The funny thing is is I was able to put all the extensions on the keys
So they don’t even have to dial the extension number
You can’t teach an old dog new tricks
