SV9100 - R7 with POTS lines and digital phones.

When a caller is on hold, they can hear a page. Well enough to tell exactly what was said. It happened to me when I tried it after the initial report. I have not tried all of the trunks to see how many are affected. Anyone have this happen before?

Thanks.
Jim

Ok, how are you paging? Through a trunk port, digital interface module or off page port on CPU? Welcome to analog trunks....

I'm using the page port on the GCD-CP10 card, going to a PGD(2) in order to use two page zones. I tried zone 1 this morning, and just tried zone 2 now.
Zone 1 - I hear page while on hold.
Zone 2 - I do not hear the page.
Both zones - during the page, the MOH gets real fuzzy. I've noticed this for a long time. I always thought it was a poor signal from their receiver.

Perhaps it's something with PGD(2)?

Thanks.

From what you stated other way around. You are getting it on your CPU. Put both zones on the PGD. You shouldn't be paging off the CPU anyhow. YA the book says you can but the PGD is way better.

Yah, it's been a while since I did this one. Both zones are on the PGD. So the common point is the cpu. I wonder if other digital extensions hear the page if they happen to be on a call during a page? Do you think moving the PGD to a different digital port (different card) would help? I'll go on-site next week and check it out further.

Two things.

10-21-04 SET the hardware to MOH/BGM

31-04 Set the CPU zone to 0 or another you aren't using.
