I am hoping you can help me, I recently purchased an Ohio Bell Ameritech pay phone. It appears to have a Western Electric upper and lower and all of the other componets are made by International Totalizing Systems. I have never heard of that company nor can I locate an owners manual or any other documentation online. Has anyone heard of this company and know how I can find any documentation ?

Ameritech was one of the solutions of the breakup of the Bell system. International Totalizing Systems is out of Bedford, Mass. Corporate Division

Is the payphone single slot or triple slot? Do you have any model numbers or identifying numbers?

If Ralph was around he would have the information you are looking for.

Hi Dean,

It is a single slot, I do not see any model numbers. I would attach photos if I could figure out how.

Oh yeah...showing off that you can read. What is Bradford...35 miles from your place? Well MISTER, I cannot read and Bradford, MA is 2,958 miles and according to Google maps would take me 957 hours to get there. If I left first thing tomorrow morning I wouldn't get there until June 22nd and I bet their closed on Saturdays.

Here ya go Professor... driving grin

As for me, if I traveled towards the Rowley, Georgetown area, I'd stay on RT 95 and go straight to Maine to partake of the great fixings at Warren's Lobster House in Kittery. drool

As I recall American Totalizer made the machines that sold you tickets at the race tracks all across America. If it's the same people, I didn't't know that they got involved with coin phones!
