Hello,

I am a real newbie to this system but I have worked in IT for 20 years and am good at networking.

I am trying to get into an Officeserve 7030 for a friend and it is now currently sat on my desk.

I can't get into it using Device Manager and the web page does not load at all.

I understand that I can wipe the system by doing a 10second hold on the reset button but I still can't use what I think it the default password nor does the web page display.

1. Would anyone be able to give me a hint to the password?
2. I'd like to understand why the web page does not load?

Many thanks,

David

Regarding passwords:

Rule 2. "Please do not post passwords or any other privileged information in the public forums. As a rule of thumb, if the information is not in the users or administrators guide, do not post it in the forum. If you wish to relate such information in regard to a post, you should do this by sending a private message or an email to the poster."

and

"Do not post passwords. Do not post backdoor access methods. As a public and semi-private forum, this information may be used to illegally compromise a system, and that system might be yours! If a pass code is needed please post and have someone email or PM (private message) you the information (make sure your profile is complete or you may not get what you're looking for) and there may be a small charge depending on your needs.

However you might be able to search the internet for the installation guide and find the password there.

Thanks Professor Shadow

I'm very aware about the posting of passwords and under no circumstance will ever post one to an open site.

I have downloaded insulation guides and used the password located in their, however, I'm not certain what operating system has been installed and I understand the default has changed from OS to OS?

Thanks,

David

Hi, is this the Device Manager Instalation tool software? If so, yes I'm trying to access through this.

If not, please can you elaborate.

Many Thanks,

David

Have you tried to get into programming through a keyset ?

OSDM = Office Serv Device Manager .Newer system software has it built in . It does not open a webpage, it connects to the system. You would need to know the ip address of the system

IT Manager used a webpage You are calling it device manger installation tool which kind of sounds like it could be either program you are trying to use.

Hi,

Yes, I can get in using a handset but I'd much rather use software. I guess because I am used to using software to configure things smile Can I find the passcode from a handset?

I am using the Device Manager software and I know the IP address but I don't know the password frown

No you cannot find the passcode through a handset but if the owner contacts Samsung they can issue a temporary passcode that will allow you to reset it to default through a handset. As long as it is not above level 5 software then you can no longer reset it through the handset , only through the SIO port on the motherboard.

Thanks for that, I'll do my best to get hold of them.

Meanwhile I rebooted the unit and it showed V4.3 so I'm thinking that is the operating system number?

Regards,

David

If you saw 4.3 on a phone screen then that is the firmware version of the phone. You can see the system version in keyset programming in mmc 727.
