Hi folks,
I'm looking at replacing an old NEC for a site that has a bunch of analogue phones (assisted living). What they've been using as a kind of REALLY low budget "help" button is having the system call the reception phone when a station goes off hook but doesn't dial, basically when the station would go to reorder.
Is there a way to make that work on a new NS700 or 1000?
Looking for a creative solution.

Just has a thought. Give me your opinion.
What if the phones were set to hot line to a group that was called something like "Help Needed". With the timer being just slightly less than the reorder timer.
The digital phones should display the originating extension number/name and the group that was dialed, yes?

Yes, the hot line default timer is 1 second, set the destination to a ring group, enable the feature per extension and add the proper name. Should work.
Instructions are just one man's opinion on paper
