Hey folks,
I have a wierd one. We have sip trunks provided by Shaw Cable through their Edgemark SBC. It works a treat 99% of the time. However, there seems to be an issue calling only certain numbers that are on Shaw's hosted Smart Voice service and only when a phone on these certain Smart Voice sites tries to answer the call. If it goes to voicemail the call is fine. When the Smart Voice phone picks up, the call drops.
I've been working with Shaw's NOC and their packet captures seem to show that the OfficeServ (mp10 4.46) is trying to use the g722 codec. I can't see in any of the Samsung documentation support for G722 or an indication that it would use it.
I did try and force a G711 codec and the calls still failed, though I don't have any captures from then.
Any ideas?

There is a bug in the os7000 firmware prior to 4.80 I think where when when you disable a codec in the sip trunk settings, the system still offers that codec in the sip header.
This causes calls to ms lync for example to fail, as it wants g.711u only.
This may be your issue.
Are the handsets dgp or ip? If ip you will need to change to g711 in the ip phone settings as well as the sip trunk settings.
