I've worked on MANY Partner systems in the past, but this guy is different.

I can't use the 99 box to login like every other one I've seen?
I can only enter using
9991 with a 6 digit default password.

I need to change a couple greetings like th enight service one but can't seem to find where they are hiding.

Naturally the company who installed it 20 year ago is gone with few notes.

Has anyone seen a OLD Partner programmed like this one?.

Is it the giant external breadbox sized voicemail?

The Cloud is just someone else's computer!

No, It's' the more modern PCMCIA card.

I worked for AT&T when the external was introduced but this is like the ones I have done plenty of times.

When they called for support, I thought Piece of cake! I got this in the personal memory banks and didn't even take a book. I was surprised when I couldn't go in through the 99 box. After 3 tries, (2 careful ones) I was puzzled at it failing after 99. The customer showed me an old piece of paper saying to use 9991 and a 6 digit password that appeared to be a default pattern.

It's unnerving for me to have this much experience with this system and find something so far different.

Just goes to show you

If you think you've seen it all.... Just pay attention and wait.

Can you pull the card out to have a look at the label? There were 4 versions of voicemail made for the Partner systems.
9991 would be the General Mailbox for Automated Attendant 1 on a later Partner Mail, or a Partner Messaging. On Partner Mail, you could move the Administrator's Mailbox functions to any other mailbox, so if you were the in-house support, and you sat at Ext. 15, you could have your own mailbox also be the System Administrator's mailbox. All of the others are fixed.

Partner Mail, the external PC-on-the-wall, 9997# (initially)
Partner Mail VS, 99#
Partner Messaging, 0#
Partner Voice Messaging, 0#

Thanks Million Tommy.
It must be Partner messaging.
I'm back in familiar territory again..
