I have and old ADIX with software version 6.12 and can no longer connect to the existing CPU card. I do however have a backup of the old database and a new CPU card. is there a way to convert the old dos database up to the windows format so I can just bypass using the dos programmer all together?

The only way you can pull this off is to load the DOS version 6.12 into your new CPU using the DOS programmer, then re-connect with the suitable Windows programmer and download again. This will allow you to upgrade to any later Windows version pretty easily.

Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

Thanks,

That's what I thought but I wanted to be sure.

There was an Adix programmer before the ADIX Programmer version 3.2? It actually ran in DOS? Hope I don't have any systems out there needing that!

The dos programmers weren't that bad(used them up to windows 7 personally). Just a little harder to upgrade the iwatsu.

Sounds similar to the DOS programmer we had for Rolm Redwood systems in the 80s. Actually the earlier Procomm was a DOS program now that I think of it. I had it on an IBM PC-Jr.
