Just received bulletin announcing 5.03 software which includes all licenses opened. Anyone else see this?

I got the email as well, with the OS7xxx and SCMx getting the new firmware, but like Hofman said, the WE-OPERATIONS site (which uses box.com to store it's stuff) still has the 5.01 from 2017 on it, nothing new. If anyone hears of where to get the new release, please advise. I guess it's supposed to open them wide up?

Just spoke with my distributor today. Has not heard back re: when or where 5.03 is available but told me they have licensing available again.Now I'm confused.

Not heard anything in the UK (yet) and licencing hasnt stopped here. A link to 5.03 would be very much appreciated though

We just got the software today.

I had to go to Samsung support directly to get the software. Did my first upgrade yesterday. 4.7 to 5.03. Seems to boost the tutorial hours to 65000+ 7+ years worth should do the trick.

you have to reply to tech support and they will send the lnk with the software for all systems. i put it on a spare cabinet we have and it gives you 65520 hours of tutorial license

So what actually happens after that time is over? I know buying the license is an indefinite time frame. This just seems like it's a temp fix to get us off their backs.

This release seems to be well hidden for some reason, we still have no news of it. No one seems to a link to it either.

The people that have gotten access to it were told to not share it.
I assume this because it has only officially been released in US while not in other regions and in EU the sale of licenses is still ongoing.

For now the rest of us have to wait for it to be released in other regions or wait for someone to be willing to share it.

How did you get the software? Did you call Samsung? Got a customer who need MGI license for 7100.

Please hit me up if you have v5.03 for all 7xxx series.

I don't know that the timer actually runs out. i have had it installed on a couple of clients for a couple of months and haven't noticed the tutorial hours dropping. If the hours do run out, well you have about 7.5 years for the customer to buy a new system

We have a client with a 7030 with 4.91 loaded and after numerous attempts to get them to upgrade we have lost the chance to get new licenses.

Would it be possible to please send me 5.03?

You'll need to goto 4.93 first then to 5.03.

You'll also need to backup the programming and vm as everything is wiped when upgrading to 4.93.

does anyone know if 5.03 adds TLS 1.2 (at least) to OS7100 MP10a processors?

I don't think so. 5.03 was mainly to give unlimited tutorial licenses as samsung shutdown the lucense server when they stipped selling the os7000 and scm systems

Hello, I still have one os7100 System active, only for me as private usage, it was the last thing left over from my active OfficeServ time.
Unfortunately I only have the v501. can someone help me out with the v503,
unfortunately I can no longer find the v5 cpld .rom for the UNI module in my software archive. Does anyone else have that? Many greetings vvbasti.

I'm in a similar situation - I have one 7030 and one 7100 left, and all the releases upto 5.01 but haven't been doing legacy telecoms for ~5 years. With the withdrawl of PSTN & ISDN services and SIP trunk & MGI licenses no longer being available a copy of 5.03 for MP03 and MP10A would be appreciated until these systems get retired.

Mp10 it doesn't exist for.

Hi, I have just come across this thread after some searching on Google. I have made the mistake of factory resetting my 7030 which has lost all its license info which we do not have a record of. Is there any chance someone could send me the 5.03 software for this please?

I'm currently on the lookout for an updated software for my Samsung OfficeServ 7200 telephone system. I'm currently running version 5.01, but I'm encountering issues with Java – the software fails to launch after entering the password, displaying an error message "check the DM connection and system."

Is there an updated version compatible with the latest Java, or has anyone else experienced this issue and found a different solution? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You have a mismatch with the dm software and the system ip address. The software fails to launch because the software can't connect to the system.This is either a bad cable or ip address wrong. I don't think java is your issue .

This is not the case unfortunately, on another PC with an old Java version the program works perfectly.

So what do you think 5.03 is going to do? It only opened up the licenses. It seems you have a java problem, in fact in both threads you are posting to you seem to have confirmed it. You aren't going to get Samsung to fix this, they gave up years ago.

I don't want to convince Samsung, but find a solution by bypassing the java version always if possible.

I'm going to lock this thread. If anyone wants to send me the 5.03 software I'll upload it to the "Manuals" section.
