Project five 9:

Can a wav file (or other format) be uploaded to older Samsung Systems?

Samsung DCS16 SVM400 voicemail/DSAA card 2 ports

Samsung DCS 50si SVMI-4 KSU has SPSU2

Thanks,

Doug

You can upload them via hyperterminal, but they net to be in a certain format and then once uploaded converted to a pmt file.

Converting requires the vm application to be shutdown so you go back to dos, then you run the buildpmt command from the \dta folder from memory.

The wav file needs to be 8bit mono 22KHz from memory

Great info...I looked system got down to dos and ran the buildpmt command...Is there any literature that would have the dos syntax needed to
work with prompt builder? Right away it said "no destination .entered."

Thanks

Here's a little issue. How do i get the greeting/prompt off of a jump drive onto the drive for the Samsung. It's a IDS100 with smvi-4 voicemail...I saw an import but looked as if it was for text files only. I seem to remember a program called PUTTY...or is there an utility on Samsung that aides in this issue.

The svmi x-e cards let you transfer files via xmodem protocol from the port activity screen.
Never tried with a svmi4.
Always shut the vm down then copied to the flash card

I tried a few times to get the right syntax...Wasn't sure of the switches. The bottom file in the picture is the file name.
Does it need to be in a particular directory?
