I have a new SL2100 systems. I have extensions 101-105. 101, 104, and 105 are on same department groups. And 102 and 103 are in their own department group. He use VRS. We have a custom message that is played with incoming calls. 1 for sales and 2 for parts. The 1 digit codes work and the departments ring. My issue is having the system go to voicemail after time out.

Auto night mode works. Message is played and single digit to voicemail works as it is going to one extension.

During the day, when someone presses a digit for their department the department rings then AA message plays then once the caller waits, it finally goes to voicemail.

How do I turn off the 2nd robot message and have the call go to a voicemail? I would like all calls that timeout go to 103 with having to gear a robot message.

If I could change that second message, I can make that work too. Any help would be appreciated.

Why are you using dept groups?

I am using department groups. Department group 01 is Sales and Department group 02 is service/parts. When a customer calls, they get a message where they can select a department to be transferred too. When the digit is pressed, it gets transferred to all phones on that department.

I just read my original post and it is not making complete sense. For example, when the customer selects a digit to go to department, the phones will ring and I would like them to go to voicemail once the timeout is reached. Department group 01 needs to use extension 101 for voicemails and department group 02 goes to extension 103 voicemail.

Currently the phone will ring on the department group, then an auto instruction message plays, which is confusing, then goes to voicemail on 103. What is interesting is that the sales department timeout also goes to 103.

You should be using VE instead. Using dept groups causes so many issues I don't even know where to start. There has been a slew of these lately and I wonder who is programming these systems lately using dept groups?

Okay, I will attempt to run the system with virtual extensions, instead.
