Has anyone got feedback on dealings with Kinettix Global Field Techs? We had a rep of theirs contact us looking sign us up as a 3rd party.

They're like WorkMarket and Field Nation. "Buyers" are enjoying deep discounts for smart hands type work and techs get to become more and more commoditized. I use companies like this to fill in the blanks with my schedule, but only after negotiating a favorable rate. I'm very certain that I've done work for them without issue.

You getting paid is the issue. You become their bank.
You do the work and wait to get paid by the national not the customer.
Be very careful.

There's that for sure. I got stung for three hours on a major conversion for TSC this year, but I wasn't contracted by Kinettix. Still, I've had to block some buyers through these platforms as they can be quite sketchy. I call them "tweeners". They're randos sitting at home bird-dogging jobs for the nationals and taking a cut. "Tweeners" = In between you and the actual client. Your competition? A kid who has a box of cable in the trunk of mom's borrowed car who just watched three YouTube videos.

Yeah, Over the years we've worked with lots of these types. It's a bit hilarious what they start offering. Then their deadline rolls around and they get more reasonable.
