I have a customer who is looking for a back up battery for a Partner Plus System. However, I am aware of only (2). One in the system that is soldered in or they could be using a UPS system. Can anyone give me some assistance.

You are exactly right the only batter is in the processor. You can change it if you fill brave but most of the time it's eat the bullet an get another one. When you try and change it you are taking a big chance on hurting the mother board. They can use it as it is but every time the power goes out it will go back to default.
Hope this helps
Or if all they want is a ups, get a APC they make very strong units.
