I am responsible for moving a Partner ACS to a new location. when I got to the new location, all the extentions are dead. There is not indicator light on the processor module, however there in an indicator light on the 308EC module.

We currently have no telco lines installed, however we expected the extentions to at least display or light up.

Also, the batteries were dead when the system was powered down.... and it was down for about 5 hours.

Anyone know of any issues to be concerned with regarding this type of move? Is the processor module toast?

Thanks.

Take the cards out and re seat them one at a time. when it powers up it will tell you to replace the batteries. If the batteries were dead when you powered down the system will go back to default. You will have to reprogram the system. If it was working fine before you moved it then it should work now.
Hope this helps

That is exactly what I thought too. However, I get nothing on any handset.

If by cards, you mean the modules - processor & 308EC, I have tried removing them both and reseting them in the carrier. I also replaced the batteries.

I looked at the old wiring and it looks like the extentions are wired pair 1 and 2 standard 568A.

If I understand correctly, simply plugging an extention into the plug in the module should give me some indication on the extention display...again, there is nothing.

Are there replaceable components inside the porcessor module or doea the whole thing need to be replaced?

Thanks for your input. I'm in a tight spot and really appreciate your time!

Well if you have taken them out and re seated them and still no light the next step is to take the middle card out (the Processor) take the power cord off the 5 slot cabinet and plug it into the card and see if it will work as a stand alone. Also if you have any PC cards in the processor take them out and see if it will fire up that will tell you what is bad ( the processor or the cabinet)
Hope this helps

if your processor module works alone, check the fuse in the 5-slot carrier.
