I have a problem with a classic voysys unit that the administrators mailbox has been deleted by error, can you help me?

"I am at my wits end regarding this voice mail unit.

The Administrators mailbox had been deleted by mistake, therefore even when you reset by holding the diagnostic button for 12 seconds,resetting the password to 23646, there still is not an administrators mailbox.
I have tried each mailbox using the password 23646, 10-29 & 900-999, each time the reply is "you have entered an incorrect mailbox password combination, please try again"

Anybody have suggestions as to how I can correct this problem?

Your ADMIN mailbox is the first one that you set up when you first program the unit. You can try using mail box 10 then for the password enter the S/N on the back of the unit and that may put the Voice Mail back to the default settings, if it does you will have to reprogramm the unit. Thats about all I can think of.

Thanks for the suggestion, I couldn't get it to work, if anyone else can offer suggestions, it would be appreciated.

Have you tried 0000 for password?

Yes, I have tried 0000 as the password, what happened was that I was cleaning up the mailboxes from a previous use and accidentally deleted the Administartors mailbox. Now I can't get into administration mode to set up a new mailbox. I think that it may be programmable through a serial computer port on the voice mail unit, but I am not sure how to go about trying to get the computer to communicate with the voice mail unit.

The serial connection is was used for manufacturing testing only.

You can use The serial connection to log in with speed 1200 and use Password ADMIN.
you will be able to find The Admin Mailbox and the Password.
This unit is very old and I think its time for upgrade.
