I have an Intuity VM system behind a Merlin Magix PBX. When you transfer to VM or use the AA there is what seems like an uncomfortably long delay before the VM answers. Any thoughts?

I have this with the Comdial DX80. If the auto attendant is listening for a fax tone before it responds to the call, it will do exactly what your describing. At least on every system I've seen with the ability to see a fax and transfer to the fax machine. Or it could be as simple as recorded silence. mark

Mark; We have the FAX option so I will check that. I have checked the recordings. TNX Larry

Has this problem been ongoing since installation, or is this something that has just started to happen.
If you are using the direct transfer to vmail, I am not sure what the problem might be without being onsite to troubleshoot.
The AA may be that the lines are not tied to the vmail ports, and the line is only tied to the Operator phone that has coverage after 2 to 3 rings.
These are only guesses, but this is were I would start looking.
Good Luck,

How long is a "uncomfortably long delay" and is it ringing or silence?
