What is the best way to expand into a 2nd Magix box? Connect each via 100 cards?
Would any of the new IP features help?

We are assuming your first magix has all three cabinets filled, or is this for a second magix off site? If so, using a UDP plan across a PRI emulated T-1 connection is the best bet.

First 3 cabinets are nearly full, but in addition we are expanding into a second building. Per your suggestion, it sounds like we can run our own line to new building and emulate PRI.
Any way for the 2nd system to share existing VM on 1st system?

centralized voice mail is a feature of the Magix when using UDP. You will just build a calling group on Switch #2 to point to the calling group on switch #1. As long as you use PRI emulation, you can MWL and all.

Can extensions (and DIDs) work across both systems? In other words, extensions 404 and 406 can be on the first system, and 405 on the 2nd?

Yes the systems will work like one except if outside caller ID comes in switch A it will not pass to switch B. Inside ID will pass. Also the DSS will not show busy extensions on the far second switch but will transfer calls.
