Our IP Office 406 disables extensions intermittently in any of the huntgroups.
These users are not disabling themselves via shortcodes. Avaya Distributors in Australia do not know what is going on. We have had numerous software upgrades and replaced hardware as well.
Any suggestions ???

What software release are you currently running. Avaya had some major software issues with this product when first released. I would suggest you or your distributor look on the Avaya web site for the latest software patches. I have installed several of these systems with other problems I have resolved, but not the issue you speak of. Good luck!!

Thanks, Spuds
We are running version 2.1(15) - I believe the latest.
We had our comms cabinet replaced when the PABX was installed and the wiring frame just hung there while the new one was installed - We had a few extensions which needed to be rewired to the frame because they had come loose.
I am woundering if there were issues with the wiring that the phone system would think that the extension has comms problems and would it disable it? Does it do some sort of house keeping?
We have had one person who would get static from time to time until I moved him to a new port. But everyone else has been ok.
Any clues - anyone?

If a call is delivered to the agents phone and the agent does not answer. That phone will log out of the hunt group.

Are the users hotdesking?

Have you tried taking it off the network as much as possible?

I came across the solution within the update details of 2.1(24)
Phone manager resolved issues states that "Users are no longer disabled from a group when phone manager preferences are edited"
I have updated all clients with the newer version of phone manager and hope fingers crossed that this fixes the problem.
