Hi, can anyone help me with hunt groups and coverage paths please? We have two separate teams that basically do the same job. I want be able to separate their phones into the two groups so that if someone calls one line in one groups it will divert to others in the group until it finds one thats free. I also want to be able to link the two groups together so if it routes around group one and isnt picked up it goes over to group two and routes around there before going back to group one.

I have looked at creating hunt groups and using call coverage, and can get this to work in one hunt group but not to route from one hunt group to another and then back to the original hunt group....Do we need Vectors, ACD etc for this or is it possible without them??

Please help!!!

You need to assign all the lines to a VDN, have a vector queue to a hunt-group with all the stations in that group. Vector control the huntgroup, now it becomes a split. You can design the split so the stations have to login to receive calls so callers don't ring on a unstaffed phone. You can force multiple calls to the phones if you need them to answer more that one at a time. You also can set the group to ring an available phone and log it out if its not answered and return to the VDN to try another.
Or you can cover the lines to a Terminating-Extension-Group and ring 4 phones at a time then cover-path the Term-Ext-Grp to another group to ring 4 more etc....

Forgot, in your vector you can set up two groups to queue. That way you can try the group-1 and only if nobody in that group is available it will try group-2.

Thank you both! We thought we probably needed vectors to do this...will give it a bash.
