I've been nominated by my new company to try and handle our phone system issues because I had a little prior exp. in the industry.
Because our phone switch blew up, we are now renting a merlin magix for about 6months until our corp. office buys us a cisco call mgr express VOIP to use.
We are moving into a new office space and are trying to determine if the magix will support NI2 protocol because we know the cicsco will and we want to have a smooth transition between our magix and the voip system
We will need to get a t1 card for the magix to handle it because right now we just have analog cards in the switch.
Any insight would be helpful... Thanks!

Ok I searched the forum back to sept and someone did post that the merlin magix doesn't support NI2, and that you need AT&T Custom for it.
If that is correct then we may need a different rental phone system to install until we get the cisco VIOP. Or does anyone know if the Cisco Call Mgr. express supports custom signaling?

You are right; the magix has to be set for custom.
