Hi, I have a Partner ACS system and Can't seem to get the call accounting feature working. I got an adapter to convert the SDMR port for the print but when I plug it in nothing works. I am using a Panasonic DotMatrix printer. Is tere anything I need to activate on the actual system?

I did that and it brings up dot matrix printers and printers with serial cables as well. Does that mean dot matrix are serial printers?

No, it means that those printers include an SERIAL interface as well or instead of a PARALLEL interface.
Otherwise, look at Black Box for a serial to parallel converter.

Or do the easy thing if you have a computer with a serial port. Set up a Hyperterm session at 1200 baud, 8, no parity, 2 stop bits, xon/xoff. It will ldump to the computer, can be printed on a standard printer, or ran through a cost accounting program.
