I am in the need of some quick assistance. Not familiar with the programming nuances of the Magix system. Don't have the time to completly read the manuals to get this done.
What i need to do is program a cordless phone (7132) to ring on incoming calls that already ring a group of phones.
1. Calls are answered by auto attendant. (system is shared) then routed when someone dials 0 to a group of phones that ring. This is the group of phones that i want to add the cordless.
2. What are the default numbering codes used for departments or calling groups.
3. Where would i go using a phone that has access to system programming to find out what the extension the system dials when 0 is pressed.
4. Could there be two 0 destinations?
5. What is the easiest way to get a printout of system programming. Can i used hyper terminal and hook a laptop to smdr port.

thanks for any help.

1. You have to log in into AA, choose option 3 for AA number, get day mode and check out on selectors code for 0 & time out transfer. It will tell you what calling Group Number it is going to. Then go in Program > Extensions > More > Group calling > Members.
2. 770 for AA, 771 first calling group.
3. Not from programming phone( see #1).
4. Only for day and night mode but not for either one within the same AA.
5. No HT only SPM Software.

Not knowing the programming and not having SPM to program with is a problem. Hence, the easiest thing for you is to do as locg says, on the MLX20l phone (which should be the programming phone):

menu>system programming>start/exit>more>cntr-tel prog> program ext>7132 enter Touch a button and press "list features" >more until you see cover> Primary and enter the extension number of the operator.

That will make the cordless ring as soon as the operator. And is the easiest way.
