i am looking for this phone line surge surpressor. There is no brand name on the item. It functions as a bridging clip, it is made of clear plastic with some stuff inside (a resistor and some briding clips). Written on the item is LX SCP-1 and LR91220. I would like to know who makes it so I can get some.

Sounds like a Linx. We get ours from Eltas Direct. They call them sneak current protectors.

I'm thinking ITW Links are what your looking for. Try Graybar or Famous telephone.

I think the one you are looking for (SCP-1) has been discontinued and replaced with an SCP-9. It looks different but works the same.

seimans makes one just like it called CMP-2+ and those are fuses inside that are replaceable via the hole on either side of the sneak protector
