I have to replace a Partner System with a new one, it is going to be the same one as being replaced (not my idea), here is what I need to know. Is there an easy way of seeing all the current systems settings, so that I can make sure that they are going to be the same on the new one. I know that the system doesn't have type of restore or anything (that would be too easy)so I have to program manually. This is a PArtner plus Processor, along with three new expansion slots. SO I need to view all current programming on the system.

If it an ACS and you are replacing it with the same release, you can back it up to a restore/backup card.

Or there is the Partner remote admin software...IF it is an ACS.

All you can do is start with #101 (System Date) and cycle through. (Next Procedure) and take notes. If you have an Admin Manual, you can make note of what's been changed from the defaults.
Once done with the System, then you need to run through the individual exts. (Cent. Tel. Prog) You might try downloading a set of planning forms off the Avaya website. Make your notes on that.

thank you BLKLABS, that was what I knew I had to do, but was hoping there was another way. I'll have to look into the Planning Forms, never thought of that. Thanks again

Partner Plus, it should take you about two minutes to program from scratch. Most installations don't do anything really complicated. Now would be the time to clean everything up. It probably will be confusing for you to figure out what has been done from stepping through the programming unless you know what you are doing. As an example if lines have been added after the initial installation. Also, many times there may be settings that are not correct and you don't want to duplicate that.

You are going to have to program buttons on the phones and speed dials anyway.

Hal makes a great point about starting with a clean config. But if you are keen on exact replication, Partner PC Admin software can help. Use it to perform a local backup to your computer. Choose "Print to File" to create a readible text file of the complete config.

pc admin doesn't work on plus

like Hal said its a quick simple system to program

I like to open the manual up to the programing section and you can run down the programs and numbers right from the index pages .

20 min or so and your done .

let me add I would go through and look at line / ringing assignments and buttons first ..shouldn't take but a few minutes
