I have been asked to install a pre-programmed unit. Quick question: theses are on pair out to the center pair of the jack correct?

That is what I thought, I just wanted to verify. The reason for the confusion is that they asked me to take splitters to the site so they could keep their current Partner system running for a week while they also had the new phones on the desk. Of course I can split out a pair to a new jack, but a splitter will not work. Just making sure it was not some crazy wiring scheme.

Does the customer have 4 pair wiring? If so there are 4 pair splitters. Pins 1-6 go straight thru to one side, and pins 7&8 get redirected to pins 5&4 on the second side of the splitter. Your Partner phones will be on pins 3,4,5,& 6, and you terminate your 2410s on the brown pair. Here\'s the specs
