Unable to install and administer within my Partner ACS R7 system. Purchased the ACS system new and just recently purchased the Partner Mail. It seems to be preprogrammed and will need to be reset. Is there any assistance that one of you can provide? Or will this remain a brick with a lovely lady's voice "redirecting" all my calls...

Thanks in advance for any assistance via PM,

Lance Pitre

If you purchased the ACS new the lovely lady would be Joice and unless you program the system she will transfer your calls to extension 10 every time.

I'm assuming that the Partner Mail is not new? If so is it really a "Partner Mail" (looks like a PC without a monitor and keyboard and connects with line cords to the ACS) or is it a Mail VS or Partner Messaging (both slide in the carrier and look like the ACS) or is it one of the PC cards that get installed in the ACS card slot?

If I'm completely off base here tell me about your system, what you have programmed and what it does when a call comes in.

Sounds like Joyce to me. Every time we have an incoming call, she states "transferring call" and routes calls to x10. The partner mail is older v.3.0. Not new. Purchased second hand with the idea that it would work automatically (haha). I have reviewed the pdfs regarding partner mail v3.0 at the Avaya website and cannot seem to execute any of the commands for admin programming, accessing mailboxes or the like.

My system includes: (Originally: Partner II r4.1, (4) 206ec r4.1, expansion r3.1, (3) 206e r4.1)
(Presently: Partner ACS 509r7, (3) 206ec r4.1, (1) 206e r4.1, and Partner Mail r3.0 2 port w/ #699 penciled on Lucent sticker)

Primary reason for Partner Mail is for DXD functionality that I lost when using Partner II r4.1 and to add additional service to my Inn.

I guess I will need some assistance (according to forums) for getting into admin or wiping system to default.

Lets get Mike to contact you about defaulting the messaging system if it hasn't been. I'm not sure that can be done if the hard drive has been replaced but we'll see.

Before you do that you will have to program your ACS for the VM ports and put your lines in the VM hunt group. Mike can walk you through that.

It sounds like you have 1 cabinet with
1- 206
1-206
1- acs r7
1- 206
1- vs mail

If thats correct ,you need to start with the programming of the acs ,not the mail.

If thats beyond you a mod could take you through
it at a fee.

Thanks Hal,

If you email me at hotboudin "AT" gmail "DOT" com, I can give you my contact information.

I did not replace the hard drive.

IN RE: KenB

I have 4 206ec's. ACS is programmed for the most part. I do not have "VS Mail". I have "Lucent Partner Mail Release 3"
