Can the merlin Park Calls like the nortel next in line or do you have to program buttons for park Zone 881 882 ect. and how do they answer the park call?

I don't know how a Nortel does it, but on a Merlin Magix the Operator can use park buttons, which you can renumber to something other than 881, 882, etc.

To pick up the parked call, any user will press Pickup (or dial #9) then the park zone.

So you have to have park buttons default 881 or 882 so if you want 5 parks you need 5 park buttons.

Yeah, the default parks are 881-888, but you can renumber them. Let's say your extensions are 100-130, the receptionist is using a 50 button DSS that shows 100-149, renumber the parks to 140-147 to put the parks on the right hand column up at the top.

An individual user can Transfer to their own extension number, which will park the call on their own set. Then someone else can press Pickup (or dial #9) and that extension number to retrieve the call.

They are not using a console on main phone so can still use park buttons on there phone? or do they need a console?

No problem, as long as they have the buttons, and they also need to be the attendant postion.
