Hello,
While taking apart an older, dead, Partner 5 slot carrier, (the off-white one), I found a blown fuse near the off/on switch. Can you tell me if replacing this fuse would normally return the carrier to service? Also, the fuse is labeled T4H-250v. Can I get these at my local Radio Shack, or, can you provide an alternate supplier? Thanks and best regards, Techroy, NJ

You can buy and replace it and your carrier would be good again.

Depends on what caused it to blow in the first place.
You might find them at Radio Shack or online.

Its rear when a fuse blows in a carrier. It could be caused by a power surge or bad card. Be careful when you power it up so you don't damage a card.

It's always a bad mod that causes that fuse to blow.

Like Hal said, a bad mod blows that fuse. You can get them at Radio Shack, and Ace Hardware has them too.

Thanks for all the good feedback. I have found an excellent source for Partner 5 Slot fuses, and, fuses for just about anything. The original fuse in the 5 slot is: T4A-H-250V. To get this fuse and anything fuses, I highly recommend "The Fuse Company", www.thefusecompany.net, 800-909-FUSE. I purchased a dozen at $2.65 each and saved a lot of shoe leather. My local Radio Shacks are keeping less and less of small parts inventory, unlike the "old days" when us "geeks" could go in there and get parts for the Radio we were building from a kit......(Hal, take me with you when you get out of this business). Thank you all....Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.

I get them from Grainger which is 5 minutes away and have them in stock. Other sources are Allied and Newark if you want to order. I would have typed fuses.com in the address bar first to see if anything came up . (It worked for batteries.) Your source I'm sure is good although a little pricy. -Hal
