Has anyone heard anything about S.N.S. discontinuing their own line of jacks, plates, patch panels, cords, etc.. anymore? It was the Sprint products group. Does anyone know who manufactured/OEM'ed their jacks and panels, I would like to keep using the same product and now have to figure out what to carry if I can't find the manufacturer. Thanks

They look and feel ALOT like ICC.

They have been discontinuing a LOT of things there lately, like being able to call an order in. I am all in favor of online ordering, but now you can't even call them if it's not on their website. When you call their toll free number, a recording tells you that your account has been moved to the web store platform. That's great if they have it available that way, but most of the time, they don't have it there. You then have to call their non-toll free number and leave a message for someone to call back.

As for their jacks and plates, we have used them interchangeably with ICC before. Since we usually use ICC anyway, it's not a problem. I doubt that they had their stuff OEMed by ICC, but there are dozens of off-shore manufacturers that make universal Keystone hardware so it's hard to say. All I can say is thank goodness that they are mostly compatible with each other.

Has anyone heard that Sprint/North Supply is discontinuing the Protege product line? Someone in the business mentioned this in passing.

After SNS moved to this present mode of operation, I called my accounts person and she told me that they were moving towards lec/clec supply. She said that very quietly! I too have used them for years and like the on-line ordering and the technical backup if required. It seems what she said may come true.

it is now sprint teleservices and yes i heard the same about the clec thing and NO the protege is not discontinued, i am still supporting many and some from this board. the on-line is very easy to do i hope they do not due away with it. i jsut want to find an easy way to order equipment ( jack, wire) and have them redo it ever two years as companies change

I beleive that they started out as a supplier for just the LEC's Now that the Bells are back together other things may return to the past.

My last month phone bill came in an AT&T envelope
instead of SBC . But the statement listed SBC as who the check should be made out to . I would not doubt by next near it will once again list PT&T as the payee .

We just got the email that April 14th is when they "realign" their business markets and stop accepting orders. I guess graybar, Rexell, etc. will be getting alot more business. This sucks, we sold the sprint line for all our data/cabling jobs. Now we have to pick up something else and update all our inventories and systems for new product/part numbers......

Well thats gratitude for Ya!

I too recieved the e-mail stating no more orders as of 14 april.

I have used them since 1978!

Always had good pricing,no freight charges, multiple warehousing and a lot of good people that would always help you with questions.

This definetly stinks!

I hope that they dry up and blow away!

This is running into the same post as the one in the installers forum, so I'm going to lock this one.
