Looking for a source for color coded lables for a 25 pair cable. I am going to start making some custom cables using heat shrink and RJ 11 plugs and need to label each pair according to color.

I dont have an answer for you but I do have a suggestion.

Use clear heat shrink on the pairs that are single. :thumb: its 25 pair so there is only one binder. Then if there are more cables in one place use color coded heat shrink.

Just a thought.

I bought a K-SUN Labeler that came with shrink tube and can make my own labels.

I know when Inter-Tel makes their Amphenol to 8P8C cables they just cover each group of 4 pairs with black heat shrink, and label what ports are each plug.

Why don't you do like I do, just number them 1 through 24.

I make the same thing (actually I have them made now) and I wouldn't want to have to deal with colored tape. Numbers are foolproof.

Also, forget the shrink on the pairs. Just use a small black sleeving on each then cover the transition with shrink.
