I am looking for a reliable analog single line phone. No Batteries, No display, Volume control would be nice and must be pretty much solid state except for the hook. The old Starplus phones were great but the newer ones I do not like. The volume default is low and the keypads on the new ones do not seal very well. So dust gets into them. The 2554's we used to use but most have reed contacts that are affected by dust. Any suggestions would be great.

We like Cortelco for single line phones.

We like the NEC analog sets. They are built pretty damn tough.

I've had good luck with the Panasonic SLTs. If you need loud handset then the Walker/Clarity phones work well.

I'm a big fan of the Avaya 2554 sets.
You can get them with MWL, flash, mute, redial and hold or just plain.

There are lots of Western Electric SLTs up for sale on eBay. The Avaya 2554s are great units. :thumb:
