Can VOIP be used with frame relay?

That would be voice over frame. I have had no exposure to this, but where I currently work they had tried it from Chicago to St. Paul and they discontinued it do to poor quality. They could of increased the size of their pipe and the quality would of increased, but they opted not to increase the 256k pipe between the two cities.

I hope this helps.

yes you can do VoF. Problem is most companies, especially the larger prefer to get 56k circuits for their frame. it will be impossible for you to do it over this. You'll need to get a 128k CIR at least.

as with all data it tends to be a quality of service issue. the more bandwidth and better quality equipment the better it(QOS)will be. it's
not like the old days when a inexpensive system would sound as good as a higher end unit.

Are you using the frame for Data? If so, then yes it would be voice over IP as long as you're using the IP protocol... Doesn't matter what type of connection it is, as long as it's large enough to carry the data.
