I have a customer(Health Fitness Club) that is asking that I install 2 RJ22 cables for his new tanning beds that he will be getting. Is RJ22 the type of jack? If so, what type of cable should be used? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

A RJ22 is a four contact 7.5MM wide "handset" size modular plug. I have never seen a jack other than ones that are built into a phone. I would have them double check there specs, a normal RJ11 jack would probably be fine but you never know some companies like to be different and make parts hard to find so you will have to buy from them.

I had the same request. You can get the rj22 mod ends and use your regular crimper. The one I did you had to cross over one end. I just used inside wire and it worked fine. Also the supplier of the tanning beds has the cable in various lengths, which is really cheaper for the customer than having one of us make them, if that's an issue.
