Hi, I am presently providing PC & network services to my clients. I would like to provide Telecom Services, specifically IP but I don't know where to effectivelly start. At the present time I do not have Telecomm staff. My questions are: a) What two-three systems are the most reliable, cost effective that could be used for boths small and large business? b) That has a good customer service and support? c) That I can be become a reseller withou having certifications? d)If certifications are needed, where can I get certified staff? e)Where can I get technical staff in WDC, VA, MD?

I am in the process of expanding my services to the Caribbean, South America and possible Africa, so good customer service and support online will be helpful. Any idea or suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ulises (Willie)

I checked out a few PC based phone systems. The cost is still too high to be feasable for most potential customers. The main cost is in the telephony boards. I do know that you probably won't get the support, reliability, AND cost you want without going through a rigorous process to become a dealer. You can check out Artisoft Televantage, and Altigen Altiserve. I know that they have been in the market for a long time (comparitively speaking) and have gotten the processes down the best from my research. Hope this helps, keep me posted.

Check out com2001.com. It's by far the most comprehensive also a hard sell. However, it comes with 4x8 base, microsoft back office server 4.5, and a very nice dell 2400 power edge. also 3com has develop an ip switch NBX 25
