a local speciality tool company has a special tool which allows the user to look inside a wall via a flexible lens which is lighted. You could cut a small hole into the wall to see what was inside, i.e studs, electrical, etc.

I want to get one of these, particulary for an upcoming job that will require some tricky stuff, but the cost of this one is $400. Has anyone heard of these, use one, or know where I might find a cheaper one?

I've never tried it before, and you might look kinda funny using it (but $400 is $400!), but don't they make kids' parascopes with flashlights built into them? I dunno, the thought just popped into my head. Then again, it is late, and it's been a long day....

Tommy,

thanks for the link. with the product name, I did a google search and found it for half price, which seems a bit more reasonable.
